Scarlett was out for a walk on the seventh floor, with no reason for it in particular. No wait; that was a lie. She did have a reason for being out on the highest floor of the school. She hadn't been feeling too feel in the past few weeks, and there was a certain weary feeling that kept pushing down on her body. Her body felt sluggish, as with her thoughts. Headaches constantly annoyed her. Everything felt so... wrong.

What is all of this? Am I really that sick? Scarlett leaned against the wall and felt the breeze blow through her hair. She must be up in some tower, since there was a breeze. The wind came in through a few windows with no glass covering them, and telescopes pointed out towards the sky near the windows. The Astronomy Tower. Scarlett had never liked it. Why was a whole tower wasted for the Astronomy class? They could just go outside to the lawns and stare at the stars all they wanted, but no... They had to take up a whole tower.

A hacking cough caught her body by surprise, and in a matter of seconds, she was reduced to a heap on the floor. Scarlett sighed and got up. This whole illness was bad. Her choice to put off going to the nurse was bad. The whole situation with "students coming from the past" seemed bad. Wasn't there some good news in all of this?

She made her way to a window and stared out, pulling a worn out red cloak tighter around herself. With all of these bad happenings, only two thing was certain, she had to be their for her school and she had to protect her own health.

It was just recently that she was cursed with being the Scarlet Lady. She used to be a normal witch once, but now she was a ghost, who neither drank, ate, or slept well and only appeared solid. She also levitated, like other ghosts, but she had managed to hide it by looking as if she were walking on the floor. Also, she had to will herself solid whenever someone touched her, or they would find out her secret. Besides that, there was no other difference in her life, except for the pounding headaches she got so often.

Being so wrapped up in her thoughts, Scarlett didn't even hear the door opening and another person stepping inside to meet her.

Blayne silently entered the Astronomy Tower, with the hopes of just getting a nice time to relax in his mind. Once he had closed the door behind him, he noticed a pile on the floor. He rushed over to whoever it was, and slid to a stop on his knees right next to the person. He reached out his hand, and touched what he guessed to be the shoulder. Turning it lightly, he noticed that it was Scartlett, the Headmistress.

His eyes widened and he turned her over so that she was on her back. "Oh my gosh! Scartlett, what happened?" He didn't know if she could hear him or not, but he felt that it was necessary to ask. He didn't know what was wrong, but he had noticed that she had been acting slightly different lately, and so he knew that something must be going on with her.
