Jessica stumbled past another suit of armor, who coughed wheezily as she sneaked by. She looked back only once, then headed back in the direction she came from.
Lost again... she thought as she lit her wand and tried to figure out where she was. If the library was on the fourth floor...then down two staircases...then up one...no, wait, up two... The Ravenclaw sighed in frustration. Eccentricity ran in her family, sadly, and it didn't bother to skip over her. At sporadic moments, she would do odd things, and always to the surprise of her classmates, and never to their amusement. As hard as she tried, they wouldn't let her alone, trying to poke her into breaking a rule; teasing her about her name, family, and their favorite subject, her mental state; doing their homework, and other things. Their favorite pasttime: feeding her false information.
You'd think after two years of this, I'd learn, Jessica thought, plans of revenge already forming in her head as she snuck up the stairs. So if this is the second floor, and the Ravenclaw tower is on the seventh...no, no, this is the third...
"Why can't there be a map of Hogwarts...or something like that? Like one that shows where everyone is...where they are, what they're doing...of every minute...of every day," she mused out loud, walking up another staircase. She stored the plan in the back of her head. Maybe someday later

Melyssa way somewhat lost to, she knew where she was, but didn't know where in the world she was going. She wasn't hungry so scratch that off the list. She'd never be found dead reading a book, so she was going no where near the library. She, also, didn't have any classes that she knew of. As she turned the corner she saw a girl, about her age. She looked a little lost, or really confused, maybe both. Either way Melyssa thought it would be nice to at least offer help.

Jessica jumped and turned around. "Oh- hello. I'm okay, just lost. Um...is this the third or fourth floor?" she asked, looking up at the many staircases above them. The mere sight was enough to make her dizzy, and she shook her head before turning back to the other girl.
"Or maybe it's the fitfh? Someone told me the library was on the fitfh," she mumbled, trying to get rid of the nasty dizzy feeling in her head.

Well this is the 2nd floor, i'm not sure where the library would be
Melyssa almost started laughing, this girl was so confused. As for the library. . . . wasn't it a myth? Melyssa pulled her bag off of her sholder and placed it on the ground. Then she strecth out her hand for the girl to shake.

"I'm Jessica Duck," Jessica said, shaking Melyssa's hand. Please don't laugh at my name, she pleaded silently.
"So...this is the second floor, then...where is the library?" she asked, trying to regain her bearings. "I'm still not sure...people keep telling me different things...and I don't know who's telling the truth..."

[MOD COMMENT: Jess, your first post was awesome =P And it's natural for your posts to get shorter when the person you are posting with has short posts. To combat that, both of you have to put some more effort in posting more.
Posting more gives the person you are RPing with an easier job in making their post longer since you are giving them more details to work with. Give more info for your partner to work with. Melyssa, try adding a bit more details to your post. If you still have difficulty, PM me and we can talk about it.]
